in this world, when a human drinks a vampire’s blood, they become soulmates. it’s not just like a marriage bond though, it’s a bond that becomes so intense it hurts both parties when the mates are away from each other for too long.
honestly, i loved this concept sm! i’m a sucker for both vampire!aus and soulmate!aus so this was right up my alley. i also loved that the author left a lot of the setting to the reader’s imagination. it’s set in a time that’s not so obviously the present, but it doesn’t suggest that it’s in a specific decade or century either, which i liked.
also if you like tsundere characters and/or plot twists, you’ll like this book too ;)
